The most exciting time of the year is approaching for Spotify fans. Spotify Wrapped, a detailed summary of users’ most-streamed songs, artists, albums, and more, is set to launch in the next few weeks.
What is Spotify Wrapped?
Spotify Wrapped is the platform’s highly popular countdown feature for its subscribers, providing a year-end recap. It delves into a wealth of data, from your total listening time to your most-streamed artists and songs.
For example, you can see if you were among the most-streamed users of a particular artist. It also tracks your streaming streaks, includes embedded messages from your most-streamed artists, and reveals the musical phases that defined your year.
Historically, Spotify has released its Wrapped summary in the last week of November or the first week of December. The release dates from previous years have been fairly consistent:
- 2024: December 4
- 2023: November 29
- 2022: November 30
- 2021: December 1
- 2020: December 1
- 2019: December 5
Based on this consistent release schedule, Spotify Wrapped 2025 is likely to be released within the first few days of December (estimated to be between December 2-5, 2025).
It was previously assumed that Spotify would stop counting streaming data for Wrapped on October 31st. However, the platform itself has dispelled this misconception. Last year, it was stated that Spotify Wrapped would continue counting data in November.
While no specific cutoff date has been officially announced, it is generally estimated that data stops around mid-November (around November 10-20). This could mean a few more weeks for some users to manipulate their Wrapped data.
Spotify had asked artists to upload special music videos by November 14, 2025, to feature their most loyal fans in the 2025 Recap experience, meaning all preparations are complete and the excitement is entering its final days.
